The Nadadores are proud to be hosting Monique Demaisip, she was a past gymnast turned diver who went on to do INCREDIBLE feats representing the Philippines.

Training camp in Zhaoqing, China
They had an amazing dryland facility, (4) 1m boards, (5) 3m boards, and a full tower/cliff-diving facility going from 3m, all the way to 27m.
October
Asian Age Group Championships
Bengaluru, India
1m & 3m – 1st place
She didn’t realize it at the time, but when she won 1m in the open event at this meet, She had ended the 12-year medal drought for the Philippine diving team (no medals won since 2007). Monique feels The way the following article is worded makes it sound like they thought she was 12-years old, but we think they meant to say that it was a 12-year old feat.

Joseph Cup International Invitational

FINA Diving Grand Prix
Gold Coast, Australia
Prelims – 7th
Semis – 4th (missed the final by one spot, but one of the girls scratched, so she was able to compete in the final)
Finals – 5th
This was her first Grand Prix ever, and the first time she had ever competed in a semi-final or final!
December
Southeast Asian Games
New Clark City, Philippines
3m Individual – 5th
3m synchro – 4th
Since the Philippines hosted the SEA Games, it was seen as a very important event for the country, and there was a lot of media coverage leading into it. She had never competed in front of a larger crowd, and had never had so many people audibly cheering her on before! The events were sold out and the aquatics center was packed!
