Dear MV Families,
The schedule for all summer programming which begins Monday, June 18 has been loaded onto the calendar under the members’ section of our web site. This is my delay as I was traveling for three weeks on personal business. For the most part, at the Bitty – Novice A levels the times have not shifted much.
Summer training times for the Elite, Gold, Silver are within the original timeframes but modified slightly taking into consideration transportation, rest, etc. I have also attached a “cheat sheet” of summer scheduling which is a bit easier to understand than the web site. You can print it on one page by selecting “shrink to fit” on your printer or print out the calendar directly from the web site if you want a paper copy.
We will be hosting the Junior Zones Championships beginning Wednesday, June 26-July 1 and all programming will be shut down per the requirements of hosting the event. For the lower levels of the team that are impacted, there will be a make-up session on Saturday, July 7. Please see the calendar.
Also, a couple of other things to note on the calendar:
June 9 is our Open House/Summer Kickoff party at the MAC.
July 2,3, all Elite, Gold and Silver will have off from training after the Zone meet (as well as any Novice A divers who competed).
July 4 we will not offer any training in observance of the holiday.
July 14 is our first of many Novice, lesson, Bitty Bouncer intrasquad meets. We are asking our older divers to run this meet and will sign any volunteer hour forms they might have 🙂 It should be a lot of fun for the little ones as well as the big kids 🙂
As we approach summer, please be reminded to send your child with sunscreen, shoes and a water bottle. For team members that might stay around the facility between morning and afternoon training sessions, you will not be allowed to stay IN the facility (the grass and outside areas are fine). The staff is not responsible for tracking your child if he/she stays at the MAC between training sessions.
We will very shortly be finishing the calendar for the school year as well. The staff is working on creating the calendar through next May (to the extent we can predict competitions, holidays, etc.). Some information from September through May has been loaded, but it is not complete yet. However, holiday training or time off is loaded and correct.
We hope this is helpful to you. Next season will be a busy one for us and we are excited at the possibilities.
Warm Regards,
Michele Mitchell, Ph.D.
